Please help us open the Education Center and reshape the futures of at-risk youth!

Dear Friends,

As a Board Member of Big Children's Foundation, you can imagine I'm very passionate about improving the quality of life for at-risk youth. I'm sending this to you today to humbly ask for your help. We're in the midst of renovating our boutique Education Center specifically dedicated to educating teens in foster care to prepare them for aging-out. Although we're almost there, we still need to raise $200,000 to complete the job and open the doors. The programs and services that will be administered in our newly renovated space will literally be the difference between the teens having a successful transition out of foster care... or... experiencing a negative outcome because they weren't prepared, didn't have a plan, and had no one to count on for help.

Big Children's Foundation provides programs and services on a regular basis that help at-risk youth heal, and solutions to improve the quality of their lives. In our upcoming Education Center--believed to be the first of its kind in this area--we will administer a complete and comprehensive plan for their emancipation which will increase their odds for success. We'll address their poor health, teach them everyday-life skills, self-sufficiency skills, provide the academic education they desperately need to complete their high school degree, provide professional development so they are prepared to enter the workforce, and post secondary educational direction should they desire---all before their 18th birthday... the day they age-out and are on their own.

Imagine how stressed and overwhelmed these kids feel every day trying to navigate their futures alone. All while trying to process and heal from the deep emotional pain, abandonment, and broken familial relationships that most have experienced. It can be paralyzing. But all is not lost. You... can help bring them comfort and hope by giving them an opportunity to change course and get the tools they need to succeed. Please join us in helping them avoid becoming homeless, getting in trouble with the law and going to jail, getting involved in the sex trade, or becoming a gang member because they were desperate and had no one to turn to.

When you give a gift, you'll be joining me, and other caring folks in the community who want to make a difference in their lives and prevent this from happening. Your gift will be put into action immediately to help finish the renovation, purchase supplies, curriculum, and materials needed for our programs, and onboard additional team members to love, educate, empower, and prepare the teens for their emancipation.
